University Theatre at Lipscomb University
Join professional director Beki Baker, who holds an M.F.A. in Directing, as she unpacks the Director's Toolbox for theatre artists. This includes diving into the directorial process from start to finish, including script analysis, directorial concept, table work, blocking, rehearsal process, tech, and into performances! This is a useful workshop for theatre artists looking to expand their skills into directing or actors and designers who want to understand the process from the director's point of view. Ages 16+.
Instructor Beki Baker: Directing credits include Nashville Repertory Theatre, Blackbird Theatre, Ingram New Works Festival, Studio Tenn, and the Nashville Shakespeare Festival. Beki is the Chair of Theatre at Lipscomb University and holds an M.F.A. in Directing from Baylor University.
